Basic training on the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)

A basic training session on the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) was held at the Fluid Centre meeting room. The theory session was conducted by Mr. Azinuddin Zulfahmi bin Megat, a Science Officer with 12 years of experience in operating electron microscopes. The demonstration took place in the evening session at the Fluid Centre laboratory and was conducted by Miss Faranadia binti Saharudin. The objectives of this training are to understand the working principles of Electron Microscopes and to serve as a reference in the future for selecting the best electron microscopes for various samples. Additionally, the training aims to provide researchers with proper information on sample preparation and selection, as well as to ignite interest within the researchers and the general university public on electron microscopes.
